Tour overview

Three unhurried days in Sapa. A luxury HK cabin bus brings you from Hanoi Old Quarter to Sapa around midday. In the afternoon an open-air Army Jeep takes you to the viewpoints of Moana Sapa, the rice terraces of Lao Chai, quiet Y Linh Ho and a short village walk in Ta Van.

Day two starts with the Jeep climbing O Quy Ho Pass, with stops at Silver Waterfall, Love Waterfall and the Lonely Tree. After lunch you walk through Cat Cat village at an easy pace: H’mong houses, stone paths, wooden bridges and a waterfall. Day three is free until the bus back at about 14:30: rest, explore town, or ride the cable car up Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina (ticket not included; we help you book it).

You see Sapa from a classic open-air Jeep rather than a tour bus, with a professional Jeep driver, an English-speaking local guide and a small group of 2–12 guests riding 5–6 to a Jeep. Hotel, cabin bus and most meals are taken care of, so you can simply enjoy the mountains.

Loved by travellers on our Sapa Jeep tours

From the seat of a vintage open-air Jeep, Sapa unfolds one backroad at a time — terraced valleys, hidden villages and mountain passes the big buses never reach. Guiding the way are our warm, graceful local women in traditional dress, who welcome you into their villages and homes with genuine hospitality. Here is what recent guests had to say.

“It was fantastic. The jeep takes you to some truly beautiful places and gives you a real taste of Sapa. Our guide, May, made this tour even more special. She's incredibly knowledgeable, and a glimpse into her home was the ultimate experience. I highly recommend the tour with May!”

★★★★★
“Super nice guide, beautiful landscape, she took us to her house, it was a special insight into life in the village, feeling of freedom standing in the jeep among the beautiful nature was fantastic.”
🇳🇱 Pascalle · Netherlands
★★★★★
“I recommend the tour first because a jeep can go places a car would struggle and, second, the guide was a member of the Red Dao so was able to provide insights that, perhaps, other tour guides could not. We went to a village and met ladies who make a living partly by producing intricately embroidered items.”

★★★★★
“The local tour guide gave us a very individual and deep impression about the ethnic minorities and their life in the mountains, about their farming and handicrafts for clothing. She explained very well and showed us all the details. The trekking through the rice fields was amazing.”
