O Quy Ho is one of the most spectacular mountain roads in northern Vietnam, and an open-air Jeep is a memorable way to ride it. This half-day tour leaves Sapa for the Hoang Lien Son range with a professional driver and an English-speaking guide.
Your first stop is Silver Waterfall, a powerful cascade tumbling down the forested mountainside. The road then climbs O Quy Ho Pass, with stops at the iconic Lonely Tree and several viewpoints where you can step out, breathe the cool air and photograph the Jeep against the mountains. On the right day, clouds drift through the valleys below in the famous sea of clouds.
The highlight is Rong May Glass Bridge, reached by a glass elevator up the cliff. Walk out over the valley on the transparent floor before the Jeep brings you back down the winding road to Sapa Stone Church.

When conditions are right, clouds drift across the mountains in the sea-of-clouds scenery O Quy Ho is famous for.
Take the glass elevator up to the viewing area, then step onto the transparent bridge suspended high above the valley. Look down through the glass floor, enjoy sweeping views of mountains and forest, and take your time for photos.
Climb back into your open-air Jeep and enjoy the changing views as you descend from the high mountains. The tour ends at Sapa Stone Church.

The floor is transparent and high above the valley, so it can feel thrilling. If you prefer not to walk on it, you can enjoy the views from the viewing area and the pass instead.
It depends on the weather. Clouds are most common on cool mornings, especially from autumn to spring, but they can never be guaranteed.
Yes, the pass is higher than Sapa town and noticeably colder and windier, especially in an open-air Jeep. Bring a warm layer.
